Our Vision – Reach More Riders, Change More Lives

NZRDA provides interaction with horses to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for those experiencing disability, or who have specific challenges or needs. We aim to enable and support them to achieve good lives including meaningful participation in, and contribution to, important life activities and roles in their community.

We are excited to be the community charity of choice for 2024. In 2022, RDA celebrated its 60th anniversary of providing therapeutic horse riding in New Zealand. We have over 3,400 riders and 2,900 volunteers providing 45,000 ride sessions in 40 plus groups across New Zealand, from Kaitaia to Invercargill. Demand continues to outstrip supply.
